The IS Youth Classroom partners with NYC public schools, teachers and other CUNY STEM ed programs which serve underserved populations to facilitate grades 6-12+ STEM education. The classroom offers virtual and in-person experiences that serve as entry points to understanding and experimenting with the CUNY ASRC’s five interdisciplinary research areas: earth and environmental science, nanoscience, neuroscience, photonics and structural biology. Additionally the space serves as a research and sharing ground for STEM education, pedagogy and immersive learning technology.
