Advanced Science Research Center Sensor CAT

The Advanced Science Research Center Sensor CAT invests in academic-industry partnerships to develop next-generation sensor technology and cutting-edge biomedical and environmental sensors and applications. Our mission is to increase joint academic-industry research and business activities in sensor technology in New York state, and to provide our prepare our Ph.D. students with industry-related training that prepares them to enter the workforce.

What we provide:

  • Matching Funds for sponsored research projects between NY state companies and CUNY faculty
  • Professional Certificate Courses for Ph.D. students, postdocs, industry researchers
  • Summer Industry Internships
  • Technology Showcases
  • Entrepreneurship Workshops

The ASRC Sensor CAT is one of 15 Centers for Advanced Technology (CATs) designated by Empire State Development NYSTAR.

Call to Action: Research Against COVID-19 Webinar

Nearly 100 scientists, 22 research institutions and 15 companies joined the CUNY ASRC Sensor CAT on April 7th for a call-to-action aimed at identifying and fast-tracking research to help win the battle against the current COVID-19 crisis, as well as future pandemics.
