A Black Hole Theory Comes to Life in the Lab
A new study in Nature shows that time-variations in tailored materials can reproduce the physics of ultrafast rotating bodies, enabling selective amplification of electromagnetic waves.

Outreach
The IlluminationSpace Hub brings CUNY science directly to our surrounding NYC community. We engage young people in STEM learning, build lasting partnerships with local organizations, and create opportunities for those traditionally underrepresented in science to discover their potential.
