Work with our facilities and researchers
Since its establishment in 2014, our Initiative has provided access to outstanding core facilities, putting these to work tackling research problems brought by scientists within CUNY and beyond, including those at other universities, research institutes and companies. This instrumentation is on a fee-for-service basis to cover running costs and maintenance, with equipment supported on site to varying degrees by faculty, staff and students. Please contact Diane.Beckford@asrc.cuny.edu for more information on these or if you have any additional questions.
To make our facilities as accessible as possible, we have reserved shared desk and office space for off-site researchers who are working with ASRC core facilities, staff or faculty. Visitors from further distances may wish to consider staying at rooms we’ve reserved at the adjacent Towers at CCNY facility; current room availability and rates can be obtained by contacting Diane.Beckford@asrc.cuny.edu.
Senior researchers and faculty members interested in routinely working with the ASRC Structural Biology Initiative may want to consider formally affiliating with the Initiative or taking a sabbatical visit with us. Applications for both programs are accepted on a rolling basis, please contact Kevin Gardner for more information.
Become a member of our scientific staff
Over the next year, we will be searching for enthusiastic and innovative researchers to join the ASRC Structural Biology Initiative in a number of full-time positions ranging from core facility directors to postdoctoral researchers and laboratory support staff. Please watch our Jobs page or contact Diane.Beckford@asrc.cuny.edu for more information.
Conduct your Ph.D. or undergraduate research with us
We are looking for enthusiastic student researchers to carry out structural biology studies, including projects at the Ph.D. and undergraduate levels.
For undergraduate researchers, Structural Biology Initiative faculty routinely have positions available through summer research programs (including CUNY’s CCNY NSF B3-REU program) in addition to opportunities during the academic year. Please contact us for more information.
