Venue & Logistics

The workshop will take place at the Advanced Science Research Center of the City University of New York, a quick subway ride north from Pennsylvania station in in Manhattan.

Two coffee breaks and a lunch break will be served each day of the workshop.

Unfortunately we are not able to offer accommodation nor discounted prices for lodging. One hotel in the area where our group has hosted guests in the past is Aloft Harlem, near the Apollo Theatre. Alternatively, we would suggest to find either a hotel in midtown Manhattan, or lower prices may be found in New Jersey, where we recommend lodging within easy reach of direct trains to Pennsylvania station, from where ASRC can be reached with a half-hour subway ride of the A train uptown to 125th street. Many options are also available through AirBnb, also nearby.

The nearby Harlem area offers plenty of ethnic restaurants and nightlife. Below is a rather incomplete list of them:

  • Babbalucci

  • Harlem Bar-B-Q
  • Go-Go-Curry Harlem
