Becoming a scientist in the 21st Century is exciting because we are bridging gaps among different disciplines, going beyond traditional boundaries. Using approaches ranging from epigenomics to cellular bioenergetics and from advanced brain imaging to behavior we study transgenic mice and human participants to understand how the brain develops and functions and how it is modulated by external influences.
