Research and Library Skills: Advanced Web of Science Searching

Want to search for scientific articles more efficiently?

This workshop will introduce users to the basic search functions within Web of Science, and move into more advanced search methods. The primary focus will be using WoS citation searching to follow the impact individual articles has had over time, creating an unbroken chain of research

We will also talk about setting up search alerts to notify you whenever a new article is published that fits your search criteria. We will look at author and institution searching as well.

Finally, we will talk about how you can use Web of Science to find information of grants and funding, and how you can make use of that to help your own research.

This seminar is open to both students and faculty.
